COOPER AND WEST CLAIM MEDALS
On Day 3 Harriet West claimed her second medal of the National Age Group Championships. Competing in the Girls 200m Butterfly West set a lifetimes best to finish in the Bronze medal position.
Continuing this success Harriet Cooper on Day 4 swam to the Silver medal in the Girls 13yrs 100m Backstroke final. Smashing her personal best Harriet returns with one medal and 5 National Age Group finals to her name.

ASA NATIONAL AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY 4 & 5 During day 4 & 5 at Ponds Forge Sheffield isaac Peace completed the Freestyle triple by qualifying for the Boys 11yrs 200m Freestyle final placing his highest finish of 5th. Not stopping there Isaac also swam the 100m Butterfly. Taking his total to 4 National Age Group Finals. Harriet West doubled up the Girls 12yrs Butterfly, Backstroke and Ind.Medley event finals. Making a final tally of 8 National Age Group Finals. The Girls Ind.Medley team of Candice Hall, Megan Morrison, Harriet West and Harriet Cooper finished a respectable 9th. |
WEST MAKES PODIUM AT NATIONALS Day 2 produced the first medal for City of Leicester and Harriet West. Competing in the Girls 12yrs 100m Butterfly Harriet swam a huge personal best to take the Silver medal. After making her first National final last year Harriet has now taken her first step on to the podium a year on. Congratulations!!!!
